TORONTO CAT RESCUE

We save over 2,500 cats every year, helping them find safe and loving forever homes.

Toronto Cat Rescue (TCR) is a Canadian charity dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats in need, with a mission to reduce the number of homeless cats and promote their well-being. Founded in 1994, TCR operates primarily in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions, working tirelessly to save cats from situations of abandonment, neglect, and overcrowded shelters where they may face euthanasia. The organization relies on a network of compassionate volunteers and foster homes to provide temporary care and rehabilitation for rescued cats, ensuring they receive medical attention, socialization, and love while awaiting adoption into permanent, loving homes. Toronto Cat Rescue also advocates for responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation, and educates the public about the importance of animal welfare. Through its efforts, TCR has successfully saved thousands of cats, offering them a second chance at life and enriching the lives of the individuals and families who adopt them.
