Care For Women is the first charitable organization of its kind in Canada where we support mothers during the complex and challenging first month postpartum. ​​Currently, women in the Fraser Valley who are isolated or unsupported in their pregnancy are paired 1:1 with a caring mentor in their home to provide practical support (e.g. loading the dishwasher, holding baby so mom can nap) and emotional support (e.g. a listening ear). Care for Women also provides meals, a cleaning service, and transportation to medical appointments. All of this is at no cost to the mother. Care for Women is aiming to expand its services beyond the Fraser Valley to accept more Canadian mothers into its program in the coming years.
