The Canadian Council of Churches (CCC), known in French as Le Conseil Canadien des Églises, is one of the most inclusive ecumenical organizations in the world, representing a diverse array of Christian denominations across Canada, including Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox traditions. Founded in 1944, the CCC is dedicated to fostering unity among its member churches while respecting their theological differences. The organization works collaboratively to address social justice issues, promote peace, and advocate for human rights, both nationally and globally. Through dialogue, education, and public engagement, the CCC seeks to amplify the collective voice of Canadian churches on matters of moral and ethical importance, such as climate change, poverty alleviation, and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. It also provides a platform for interfaith cooperation, encouraging mutual understanding and collaboration between Christian communities and other religious groups. By emphasizing shared values and a commitment to the common good, the Canadian Council of Churches plays a vital role in strengthening the spiritual and social fabric of Canadian society.
