Nepal Emergency Relief Fund Update: Your Generosity in Action

When we launched the Nepal Emergency Relief Fund earlier this month, we invited the GiveWise community to come together to support organizations responding to urgent needs in Nepal.

In our original Nepal Emergency Relief Fund blog, we shared why the fund was created and how bringing individual gifts together can help direct support where it is needed most.

Thanks to your generosity, $10,045 has been raised and distributed so far, supporting two organizations with established connections in Nepal and teams responding on the ground.

Where your generosity is going

$7,500 has been directed to Rescue Network Nepal, supporting flood relief.

$2,545 has been directed to Ally Global Foundation to support its work alongside Nepalese Home. With long-standing relationships already established in affected communities, their team was able to take immediate action following the flooding. Within the first 24 hours, the team prepared 100 relief packages containing food and essential supplies and sent three loaded trucks to Nuwakot. They also spent 10 days supporting government relief deliveries and are preparing to provide care and shelter for children orphaned by the disaster.

While this first round of funds has been distributed, the Nepal Emergency Relief Fund remains open.
