Role Overview: The Donor Relations Advocate at GiveWise Foundation Canada is a pivotal role responsible for establishing and expanding our presence within designated geographical areas. This position requires an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual deeply embedded within their community and beyond and networked with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, wealth managers and organizations involved in philanthropy.  We seek an individual capable of building upon our concept, taking ownership, while benefiting from the infrastructure and strong support provided by our team for endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a growth plan to introduce GiveWise to the assigned geographical area, targeting local communities, religious institutions, businesses, and high net worth individuals.

  • Build and nurture relationships with potential donors, key stakeholders, and community influencers to promote GiveWise's mission and vision.

  • Build and foster trust with key Financial Professionals – Financial Advisors, Tax Accountants, Tax Lawyers and Notaries involved with Estate Planning.

  • Present and advocate for GiveWise's software and systems as a solution for highly cost effective and efficient giving, emphasizing its benefits and impact on simplifying tax receipt collection and enhancing the overall giving experience.

  • Attend strategic events, conferences and gatherings within the geographical area to represent GiveWise and network with potential partners, donors and influencers.

  • Organize and host informational sessions, workshops, or events to educate and engage the local community about GiveWise's platform and its advantages.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to amplify outreach efforts through various channels, including social media, local media, and partnerships.

  • Facilitate and negotiate sponsorships or partnerships with relevant organizations to increase brand visibility and awareness.

  • Provide regular updates, reports, and feedback to the management team regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities within the assigned geographical area. 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Generous in life practice, passionate about philanthropy, community engagement, and making a positive social impact. 
  • Strong connections within the designated geographical area, particularly with high-net-worth individuals, community leaders, and potential donor circles. 
  • Exceptional communication, networking, and presentation skills. 
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and remotely. 
  • Previous experience in sales, fundraising, community engagement, or similar roles is preferred. 
  • Understanding of tax receipting and charitable giving practices is an asset. 

 

Remuneration:  $30,000 - $40,000 annually based on .5, plus performance-based incentives.
